New location consolidates office spaces and is easily accessible for the community
ALPENA, Mich., (July 28, 2022) – Hospice of Michigan recently moved its Alpena office to a new location at 199 Long Rapids Road. The not-for-profit has served the Alpena community since 1980 and moved to consolidate the not-for-profit’s space into one building near the intersection Long Rapids Rd. and Chisholm Street.
The 2,500 square-foot office better meets the needs of the not-for-profit’s clinical care teams by offering a more functional space and better layout for staff. The new building, located near the hospital and other medical professional buildings, has its own parking lot, offering convenience for volunteer trainings, community donation drop-offs, education programs and grief support groups.
“Our new office maintains Hospice of Michigan’s presence in the heart of Alpena, while providing an efficient, easily-accessible space,” said Danielle Steinke, RN operations manager for Hospice of Michigan’s Alpena office. “At the end of the day, everything we do comes down to our mission of serving every person, every time. We’re confident this location is a better fit for not only our staff, but for our community as well.”
Hospice of Michigan provides end-of-life care and support for anyone with a terminal illness, regardless of their age, diagnosis or financial circumstances. Last year, the not-for-profit organization cared for more than 450 patients and their families in Alpena and its surrounding communities.
