Alpena fundraiser will feature award-winning author Philip Greene; proceeds to benefit the not-for-profit’s Open Access Program
ALPENA, Mich. (Sept. 7, 2022) – Hospice of Michigan invites the community to its Shaken Not Stirred fundraiser at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8 at Art in the Loft, located at 109 North 2nd Ave., suite 300 in Alpena. The fundraiser will feature award-winning author Philip Greene, offer James Bond-inspired cocktails and benefit the not-for-profit’s Open Access Program.
Greene will treat guests to an evening of lively storytelling centered around the work of Ian Fleming, creator of the James Bond series of spy novels. Throughout the event, attendees will enjoy elegant cuisine and cocktails inspired by Agent 007.
“Shaken Not Stirred offers the opportunity to support Hospice of Michigan’s Open Access Program in a new, fun and interactive way with a spy themed twist,” said Melissa McDonald, philanthropy manager for Hospice of Michigan. “Funds raised at this event will directly help ensure access to affordable, quality hospice care for anyone who needs it.”
Tickets are available at hom.org/shaken/alpena for $100 per person through Friday, Sept. 28. Tables of six seats can be purchased for $500. Ticket price includes elegant cuisine and craft cocktails. The event is exclusive to those 21 and older, and attire is black tie optional. All proceeds from the event benefit Hospice of Michigan’s Open Access Program which ensures all who need end-of life care in Michigan have access to it, regardless of age, diagnosis or financial circumstances.
