Experienced memory care nurse brings an impressive combination of skills
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (June 15, 2018) – Hospice of Michigan (HOM) is pleased to announce Lauren VanGroningen as Operations Manager in the southwest region serving Grand Rapids and surrounding communities.
In this position, VanGroningen manages all core care delivery processes aimed at exceeding service expectations. She is charged with creating a culture of excellence in hospice care as well as promoting employee engagement, growth and performance.
Previously, VanGroningen served as Director of Nursing for the memory care program at Samaritas Senior Living. She has also worked as a nurse in psychiatric services at Network180, a progressive care nurse at Spectrum Health’s Meijer Heart Center and as Senior Behavioral Health Operations Coordinator at Priority Health. VanGroningen earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Social Work from Calvin College and an Associate’s degree in Nursing from Grand Rapids Community College. She is currently working on a Master’s of Nursing degree from Ferris State University and lives with her husband, Sam, and two young children in Grand Rapids.
