Rogers City, Sept. 10, 2014 – Hospice of Michigan will host its 24th annual Puttin’ On The Ritz fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 4 in Rogers City.
The event will take place at The Water’s Edge Restaurant at 530 N. Third St. at 5 p.m. The evening offers guests an opportunity to enjoy dinner and networking, as well as the opportunity to win prizes. Also, back by popular demand, Northern Michigan native Mike Ridley will entertain guests with a unique blend of comedy and music.
“Puttin’ On The Ritz is a community event that helps raise funds to support Hospice of Michigan’s mission to provide comfort and care to all those in need of its services, regardless of age, diagnosis or ability to pay,” said Brenda Herman, philanthropy specialist at HOM. “Proceeds from the event stay in the local community to help provide care to the more than 75 patients Hospice of Michigan serves in northeast Michigan every day.”
Tickets priced at $30 can be purchased by contacting Herman at 989.358.4291 or visiting https://hom.convio.net/site/Calendar?view=Detail&id=100142.
Several levels of sponsorships beginning at $100 are also available. Current sponsors include American House Senior Living, Carmeuse Lime and Stone and Presque Isle Community Men’s Club. HOM is also seeking donations of prizes that will be raffled or auctioned off.
Now in its 24th year, the annual Puttin’ On The Ritz fundraiser has grown significantly. It was first started by a small group of women in the community who wanted to raise a few thousand dollars for the local hospice organization. The event has grown into a community wide event, raising more than $14,000 in 2013 for HOM patients in northeast Michigan.
