Hospice of Michigan Hosts Living On Grief Support Group

Group welcomes Macomb County residents for a journey of healing and connection

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (Nov. 22, 2024) – As a response to the growing need for compassionate grief support, Hospice of Michigan is inviting Macomb County residents who have experienced the loss of a loved one to join its grief support group, Living On. The group is part of an ongoing series offering a safe, welcoming space helping individuals navigate the complex journey of grief.

Led by experienced hospice staff and grief counselors, Living On meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at 37399 Garfield Rd., suite 208 in Clinton Township. The support group is open to all losses while providing an open, non-judgmental environment to share personal experiences, find comfort, and learn valuable coping strategies.

“Grief can be isolating, but healing happens in community,” said Amanda Layne, Hospice of Michigan grief support services manager. “The Living On support group reminds people they are not alone while providing a foundation of support, resilience and understanding as they navigate challenging times.”

Hospice of Michigan continues its mission of providing free grief support services by offering supportive and engaging environments for those struggling with the loss of a loved one. The Living On support group is open to anyone in the Macomb community and requires registration to attend.

Interested individuals should contact Amanda Layne at alayne@hom.org or call 586-263-0913. For more information about Hospice of Michigan and its grief support program, visit hom.org.
