Parisien to help manage internal and external communications for Hospice of Michigan and Arbor Hospice
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Feb.17, 2022) – NorthStar Care Community hired Lora Parisien as its new marketing and communications manager. Parisien is responsible for managing the implementation of internal and external communications, promotions, new product/service communications, advertising, website development, brand image and awareness, and public and media relations for NorthStar Care Community which includes Hospice of Michigan and Arbor Hospice.
Parisien reports to Tracey Pierce, NorthStar Care Community’s director of marketing and communications.
“Lora brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will help effectively communicate, educate and promote palliative care and hospice philosophies with our patients and their families, as well as community members throughout the state of Michigan,” said Pierce.
Prior to her new role with NorthStar Care Community, Parisien worked as a freelance communications and marketing specialist. She has also led communications efforts for the United States Peace Corps and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Parisien is also a certified cross-cultural and diversity trainer with experience in designing and delivering training programs that increase cultural competency, enhance employee performance and improve retention.
Parisien earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and English from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Parisien also studied Arabic at the Bourguiba Institute of Modern Languages in Tunis, Tunisia, North Africa.
